Yoga Movie Night Happens the Last Monday of the month.

As the month of August comes to an end, come celebrate all of the hard work you've done by joining us at yoga movie night. Give back to yourself by doing a virtual yoga class then rest while watching yoga movies and enjoying kombucha and popcorn with friends. Seal the night off with a guided visual meditation to go home feeling rejuvenated, grounded and centered ready to take on the week ahead.



Bring things to be comfortable for movie watching blankets, pillows, yoga mats, and yoga clothes.

Anniversary Party: One Year

Anniversary Party: Year One at Hikina Yoga

Hikina Yoga at 924 Hikina Lane in Kapalama had it's One Year celebration on Friday, August 18, beginning at 6 pm had fun with AcroYoga play session, free yoga class taught by Eric, live music, and ono potluck.  Join us for year two of Yoga at Hikina Yoga.

6-7pm: ArcoYoga Jam Session led by Ashlyn Marie


7-8pm: Free Yoga class taught by Hikina Yoga Teachers
8-9pm: Live music with Raymond K Brown, potluck, and One Year Celebration!

Butterfly Pose - Baddha Konasana

Butterfly Pose - Baddha Konasana (BAH-dah cone-AHA-anna) Baddha meaning "bound', Kona meaning "angle", Asana meaning "pose.  The pose is a basic seated hip groin stretch, it is one of the best hip openers of yoga. 


HOW TO:
Starting in staff pose bend knees bringing feet close to groin.  Let the knees descent to the floor,  put block or blankets under the knee if you have trouble getting the knees close to the earth.  Breath deeply and fully into the posture hold for eight breathes to five minutes depending on type of practice.
